Hello all! My new group, #Publish-Write was accepted as a Group! So, it's mostly a resource/tutorial reference group for writers who are thinking of publishing/editing/revising. Please join, or LET ME KNOW IF YOU WANT TO HELP OUT!!

The official description -

"Publish-Write" is a group dedicated to providing accurate and helpful advice, tips, and help to all the deviants who write, and are thinking of being published. Not sure how to format a manuscript? Want to know if you need an agent or not? From helpful links to lengthy tutorials, Publish-Write can help any writer or poet to get their foot in the door of the publishing world.

See! So, please join, pimp, help me out, whatever. I can't do this alone!

Personal note - working on updating both my CSS and C++ knowledge, and working more in Photoshop. Also getting a tablet this week (OMG!). I may just make another account for my art and stuff, because most of the watchers probably watch for poetry/prose. :)

UPDATE - accidentally deleted all 100+ comments. >.> Sorry if I didn't respond to yours.

Hello all! I need your help - I just created a new blog for "critiquing" writing - both published and not.

It's right here, and I need your help to get the ball rolling on this. I want some traffic. And I'd love to critique some of your writing on it. Let me know if I can - send me something, preferably prose. Maybe even a synopsis. Something from your NaNoWriMo? But be warned - the blogs called "book shreds" for a reason. I'll be tough. ^^

Please do. :D I need all the help I can get. In the mean time, follow it, watch it, pimp it, whatever. I love you all.

New skin! Pretty, huh? NaNoWriMo is in the air, and I seem to be going strong. *fist pump* Add me as a buddy, and I'll add back. We can help each other out!

In the mean time, enjoy these nice pieces of art -

Good luck, all, and I hope you're all doing okay.

Love love,

Michelle

Well, it's that time of the year! Today is the first of November, and I know I'll be writing like crazy today. I already have 200 words from midnight! ^.^ I have semi-plotted out my novel, but not everything.

HERE'S MY WIDGET!

If you're participating, tell me!

Good luck to everyone, including me. I'll keep you posted on how it goes.

P.S. - my name is prosaic-scriptor on the nano site.

And I also got my care package yesterday, what a great gift that was!

Wicked

Journal Entry: Sun Sep 13, 2009, 8:41 PM

Well, this weekend I went to see Wicked in San Francisco. There was a standby for Elphaba - Vicki Noon, but boy was she amazing. The woman who played Galinda/Glinda was spectacular, too. Although she did manage to be realllly annoying as Glinda. Kristin Chenoweth did a better job of making her more lovable. Anyhow, the music was amazing, everything was fantastic. I cried at For Good/Defying Gravity - but I knew I would, anyway. Also, I teared up when Nessa was yelling at poor Elphie. Oh, Fabala, what has happened to you?

I read the book first, though, so the original version of the story will always be my favorite. There were quite a few discrepancies, but that was to be expected. A few - SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER

were Fiyero and Glinda (wtf?), Elphaba living, Fiyero living, no implied romance b/w Elphie and Glinda, and Liir not even having a part. Also, they made Elphie out to be a lot more innocent in the play. She was the victim, only the victim! *sad face* In the book, she wasn't really a victim - she was just human. She made mistakes, like sleeping with someone else's husband, and killing small children (>.>;) and yet, people made her out to be much worse than she truly was. I liked the book better. Gregory Maguire's writing is pure prose; it's amazing. I could read Wicked every day of my life. I cry every time, too.

Also, I realized that I cry almost once a week. Maybe it's because I tear up at books, and I read so many? Hmm.

Love love,
Me.

Well, I guess you guys haven't heard from me in a while. I haven't had a subscription for what, 4-5 months now? And I've had my beta tester symbol this entire time. Guess what message I got today, after I wondered at my "one week" subscription?

"We totally figured it out.

You thought you'd punk'd us, but the jig is up! We noticed that your Beta Tester symbol stuck, even after your Premium Membership expired. But sadly, most good things must come to an end. Our geeky developers were finally able to track down this bug in the matrix of deviantART and squash it. However, because you clearly love that symbol sooo much, please enjoy a free 1 week Premium Membership on us! (Hopefully you'll see the light and come back as a real Beta Tester in the future. Oooh snap!)
Fella iz laughing at j00"

Damn it!!! Now I have to act like a regular member. Ah, well. C'est la vie.

Anyways, I'll enjoy this sub while I can, I guess. :P I still have my blog going, so if I'm inactive here and you want to know what's happening with me... Check it out!

I'll also have you know that I now have the ultimate, super sexy Studio 17 (all I could afford right now) Dell. I wanted a Mac, but, SHOCKER, I'm broke. So more poetry (if I were motivated) should be up. Working on my novel, kind of, and trying to get my RPG skills up - [link]

I am also highly proficient in C++ now. Bitches.

#iostream<>

using namespace std

void()
{

int num, num2;
char block;

}

I'd write more but... no. And, FYI, that code makes no sense. It's just defining variables that I haven't used. >.>

See ya,

Michelle/Kate
